We hand-detail every vessel using marine-specific products and techniques tailored to coastal saltwater (San Diego) or freshwater seasonal cycling (Chicago). Whether your boat is a center-console day-cruiser or a 50-foot sportfish, the goal is the same: a deeper, longer-lasting shine that genuinely protects.

Every detail uses Shine Supply professional products — the marine-grade line we trust for finish quality and durability.

1. Pre-Wash Inspection

Every job starts with a walk-around of the vessel: identifying problem areas (oxidation hot spots, water lines, stained surfaces) and documenting the starting condition with photos so you see the before-and-after clearly.

2. Hand Wash

Marine-grade soap, soft applicators, and a rinse-and-dry pass. We work top-down so dirt never re-deposits on cleaned surfaces.

3. Compound & Polish

Multi-stage cutting and polishing to remove oxidation and surface haze. Heavily oxidized gelcoat may require an additional pass before wax can take.

4. Premium Wax Application

Premium marine-grade wax applied with professional buffer for even, long-lasting protection. Lasts approximately 12 months. Optional ceramic coating upgrade available for extended protection.

5. Detail Finish

Stainless polish, glass cleaning, non-skid treatment, and a final hand dry-down. Photos sent on completion.

Detailing intervals depend on storage, climate, and use. Two general guidelines:

Slip-stored vessels (San Diego): Plan on a full detail every 6 months, with monthly maintenance washes in between. Coastal salt accelerates oxidation, and skipping a season often doubles the time and cost of restoration.

Lake-stored or seasonal vessels (Chicago): A full detail at launch (April–May), a mid-season touch-up in July, and a deep pre-haul-out clean in October. Pre-storage detailing is critical — trapped moisture and untreated surfaces become bigger problems by spring.

Charter operators, rental fleets, and high-use vessels typically run shorter intervals. We'll recommend a schedule after your first detail based on actual condition, not a generic calendar.
